A: Decide a theme. If it’s birds, birds. Alcohol, Alcohol. I like Gin, Vodka and Sherry.

A: Mostly myself. Sometimes with an editor, but the details I decide myself.
Q54: Do the characters have models?
A: Mm…not really. From Gin to Ayumi there are people I know that they reflect. (That is to say, I’m imitating Conan Doyle)

A: All of them.

A: The one about the sun and moon symbols. (Vol 2) I slept on it before I showed my editor.
Q70: How do you get good at drawing?
A: Draw a lot.
Q71: How did you feel when you found out that Conan would be an anime?
A: Very good. I could make money! (laughs)
Q72: What did you work hardest at to be a comic book artist/writer?
A: The story, I think.

A: I’m not frightened by anything I draw.

A: Since second grade.

A: Play baseball, sleep, go see a movie.
