CITAZIONE
Nonetheless, this is bound to be a somber occasion. Starting with Movie 12 in 2008, DCTP has released all of the new movies in the years they premiered. That year's movie, Full Score of Fear, began an annual tradition for us that we have always tried our best to honor even in spite of a great many life changes amidst our core staff members. That is, until now.

We all knew long before we began work on this movie that it would be the last one. Every year has been more difficult than the last thanks to our changing lives that have, more and more, began to settle into permanency. As one would expect, there are commitments for us as adults that we did not have as teenagers. We all came into this when we were younger and had limitless free time to devote to this series we all cared for to no end. Now, though, that has no doubt changed in adulthood. We all still love this series just the same, if not more after investing so many countless hours into it, but the time just isn't there to spend anymore. With every new year that passes, we haven't just gotten a new Conan movie to work on but also new responsibilities in life to weigh as well. At this point, with full-time employment, studies, families, friends, and all else that constitutes daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly life, it has come to a point where it is unsustainable for us to continue this hobby much longer.

So, to put it plainly, the unfortunate reality is: DCTP will not be back for Movie 17. While we have always looked forward to doing the movies and realize the important role they serve in the community, this is definitely the end of the connection between DCTP and the annual movies going forward.

...But, wait!

You know we wouldn't let it end just like that.

We know how much these projects have meant to so many of you over the years. You've told us, after all, countless times, with far more thank-you posts, tweets, messages, and notices than we could ever hope to count. I, personally, have appreciated every one of your words of thanks. As I've said before, any sort of enjoyment from this has never come from the work itself but instead in sharing in an appreciation for this show we can all enjoy together.

So, instead of our years-long journey with you ending here, DCTP is proceeding with one last endeavor!

—Firstly—
DCTP will be releasing OVA 12 very soon, and it won't take long. But, please keep in mind we will not be subtitling future Magic Files or future OVAs starting with those releasing in 2013.

—Secondly—
We will still proceed with our Conan Nintendo DS translation for Detective Conan & Kindaichi Case Files: Chance Encounter of 2 Great Detectives exactly as planned. We are constantly chipping away at this project and will continue until it's released.

And...

—Finally—
As one final send-off to everyone that has supported our anime releases over the years, we have decided to work through as many of our former back catalogue projects as possible. Yes, potential projects include HD versions of old movies as well as new versions of famed old episodes and specials. We have a considerable amount of work invested in a number of unreleased projects, and now, we will be completing as many of those projects as possible in what is no doubt... the Biggest DCTP Project of All Time!

The "Biggest DCTP Project of All Time" will be our final contribution to the Detective Conan anime. We can't say how much will be done in the end, but we can say when it will all end, and that date is May 1st, 2013. On May 1st, 2013, the DCTP anime team will disband and no longer be producing any Detective Conan anime content of any kind. Whatever is done at that point is what we will have contributed to this one last project, and whatever is unreleased will go unreleased.

Now, the question about this project will surely become: "What will be released first!?" Because we love hype and especially mysterious hype, I can now (finally!) reveal that we already announced what would be the first release on September 9th, 2012, in the very first post of the project's dedicated topic. It's been read nearly 25,000 times, but no one appears to noticed it just yet. Once someone confirms the (rather simple!) solution, we will announce the project and its release window for all to look forward to!

Instead of dwelling on the circumstances, let's make this a happy occasion and look forward to the future! Enjoy the movie, and anticipate the remaining DCTP projects that will come your way in the next few months!

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Grazie DCTP!!! :D
