コナン 「小五朗さんはいい人」
Conan: "Kogoro-san is a Good Person"

学校帰りの蘭に（園子、世良、コナンと）小五朗から遅くなると電話。コナン「多分ビアガーデンに行ってるんじゃない？」と説明
蘭が怒って「何が名探偵よ！ただのダメ親父じゃない！！」
While returning home, Ran (with Sonoko, Sera, and Conan) receives phone from Kogoro, saying that he will be late. Conan explains: "He probably went to the beer garden"
Ran gets mad: "What great detective! [He's] just a deadbeat dad!"

そこに“桐谷 貴江”（70）アパートの大家。が話しかけて来て「小五朗さんはいい方よ！
毎週のようにこの老婆の元に来て無償で事件を解決してくれる。たわいない無くし物探しとかだけど…」
蘭が娘と知り、今日もいらっしゃるから確かめる？と言われ、コナンと２人で桐谷の家へ
There, Kiritani Takae (70), the apartment's landlady, comes talking [to them]: "Kogoro-san is a good person! [He] comes every week to this old woman's place, solving cases without charge! Though [that involves] silly things like finding lost items . . ."
Comes to know that Ran is the daughter, so invites her saying, [He'll] come today, too - do you want to check? Ran goes into Kiritani's house with Conan.

コナンに蘭「ビックリだね！お父さんがお年寄りの為に…こっそりこんないい事してたなんて…」
コナン『いや…きっとこれには何かウラが…』
Ran to Conan: "How surprising! Dad was secretly doing something this good . . . for an elderly . . ."
Conan: 'Uh, there's probably a backstory to this . . .'

インターホンが鳴り蘭が出ると知らない男。　いらっしゃい小五朗さんと言う桐谷に蘭が「違うよこの人は…」と話そうとするが表に連れ出され説明される
When the intercom rings and Ran receives it, an unfamiliar man [appears]. To Kiritani, who says Welcome Kogoro-san!, Ran tries to say "No, this person isn't . . ." but gets taken out to the front and gets explained

恩田 遼平（21）大学生。桐谷の孫娘の彼氏。彼女に頼まれて防犯の心得を教えたりしてた
毛利探偵のフリをした方が説得力があるから。近所を荒らしてた空き巣が捕まった後も色々頼まれちゃってと説明
Onda Ryouhei (21), college student. Kiritani's granddaughter's boyfriend. Was explaining how to prevent crimes as requested by girlfriend.
Explains, It's easier to persuade while pretending to be Mouri Detective, you see. Even after the burglar who was wasting the neighborhood got caught, [I got] requested [to do] various things . . .

蘭「毛利小五朗を騙って詐欺しようとしてるんじゃ…」
コナン「それはないと思うよ…娘の蘭姉ちゃんと出会って逃げなかったし…おじさん警察の知り合いがいっぱいいるしね！」
今回で最後にしますと言われ見逃す事に。桐谷が出てきて「話しは済みました？事件を解決してくださいな！」と言われ家の中に
コナン『――って事は本物はやっぱり…』→ビアガーデンで生ビールをのむ毛利
Ran: "[You're] not pretending to be Mouri Kogoro to swindle . . .?"
Conan: "I don't think so! [He] didn't excape after seeing Ran-neechan . . . Plus, Oji-san has lots of acquaintances in the police!"
Says This will be the last time! so decides to overlook this. Kiritani comes out, says "Is the conversation done? Please do solve the case for me!", ushers them inside the house
Conan: 'As I thought, this means that the real one is . . ." → Kogoro drinks unpasteurized beer at the beer garden

桐谷にザッピング事件があったと聞く。桐谷「お化けがでたんじゃないかと思って」
恩田「そりゃーきっとアレですよ…昨年亡くなったご主人の…」 コナンにお化けなんているわけない！だよね？おじさん！と言われる。
考え込む恩田を見て蘭「コナン君…助け船出してあげてよ！何か気づいた事あるんでしょ？あの人悪い人じゃなさそうだし…ちょっとかわいそうかなって…」
Kiritani says that the TV channel changed constantly without touching the remote. Kiritani: "I thought that there was a ghost!"
Onda: "Oh, this is probably your husband, who passed away last year . . ." Conan says There's no way ghosts exist! Right? Oji-san!
Ran, after seeing Onda deep in thought: "Conan-kun . . . Let's help him! You noticed something, right? That person doesn't seem like a bad person, and I feel sorry for him . . . "

コナン『―ったく…しゃーねぇな…』テレビの前の机に本が積んであるのを見て、本を押しテレビをつける
「多分、本の下に埋まってたリモコンのボタンが何かの拍子に押しっ放しになって…ザッピング状態になったんじゃないかなぁ？そうでしょおじさん？」
Conan: 'Ugh, fine . . .' Sees books stacked in front of the TV, pushes book and turns on the TV
"Probably, the remote buried under the books was pushed constantly at some rhythm, causing the channel to flip. Right, Oji-san?"

偽物に感謝する桐谷。恩田「ま、まあ机の上は片付けといた方がいいって事ですよ！」
蘭「こんな感じなら目をつぶってあげよっか…」 コナン「そ、そだね」『大した事件じゃねーしな…』
Kiritani gives gratitude to the fake. Onda: "Yes, this just means that the desk should be cleaned up and everything will be fine!"
Ran: "I guess we can ignore this for him, if this is how it usually goes . . ." Conan: "Y-yeah." 'Plus, this case isn't that big of a deal . . .'

隣のアパート（桐谷の）から悲鳴が聞こえて、向かうコナン達
コナン『扉が壊されてる…誰かがぶち破ったのか？（死体の側の鍵を見て）部屋の鍵？』
Hears a scream from the neighboring apartment (Kiritani's), Conan & co. go towards it
Conan: 'The door is broken . . . Did someone break it? (Sees key next to corpse) The room key?'

コナン「どうして扉を壊したの？」 男「何なんだボウズ！？」 コナン「いいから答えて！！」
死体の周りにいる３人の住人。坂内 久美（22）「この傳川さんの目覚まし時計のベルが…しばらく鳴り止まなくて…」
石亀 謙（64）「扉の前で何度も…止めてくれと頼んだんじゃが…」
兵頭 順治（28）「返事がねぇから仕方なく３人でぶち破ったんだよ！昨夜も似たような事があったしな！」
Conan: "Why did you break the door?" Man: "What, kiddo?!" Conan: "Just answer me!!"
Three tenants around the corpse. Sakauchi Kumi (22) "This Tsuikawa-san's alarm clock wouldn't stop ringing for a while . . ."
Ishigame Ken (64): "We begged to stop it many times in front of the door . . ."
Hyoudou Junji (28): "Since there was no reply, us three broke in! Somethin' similar happened last night, too!"

コナンに似たような事って？と聞かれ、３人「急にTVを大音量でつけて…しかもザッピングしまくっててよ…えらい迷惑じゃったわい！」
コナン『ザ…ザッピング？』 坂内「昨夜は扉の前で３人で文句言ったら止めてくれたんだけど…」
兵頭「でもまあ部屋の鍵も死体のそばにあるし…手には包丁を握ってるし…」
石亀「自分で首を切って自殺したのかのォ…」
Conan asks, Something Similar? and the three replies: "Suddenly turned up the volume on the TV [Probably Sakauchi] . . . Then flipped through channels like crazy [Probably Hyoudou] . . . It was awfully bothersome! [Probably Ishigame]"
Conan: 'F-flip channels?' Sakauchi: "Last night, when us three complained in front of the door, [he?] stopped for us . . ."
Hyoudou: "Oh well, the room's key is by the corpse, and the knife is grasped in the hand . . ."
Isigame: "[He?] probably cut [his?] own neck and committed suicide . . ."

コナン『いやこれは殺人…しかも犯人は…この３人の中の誰かだ！！』
そこに桐谷が来て「大丈夫！事件はすぐに解決しますわ！こちらには名探偵の毛利小五朗さんが付いていますから！！」
恩田「え？」『えぇぇ！？』 コナン『おい おい おい…』
Conan: 'No, this is a murder . . . and the culprit is . . . one of these three!'
There, Kiritani comes "Don't worry! The case will be settled soon! We have the great detective, Mouri Kogoro-san on our side!"
Onda: "Huh?" 'Huuuh?!' Conan 'Oh, geeze . . .'
